About the Citizens' Oversight Committee
On March 3, 2015, the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees appointed seven members to the Measure D Citizens' Oversight Committee. The committee comprises representatives from education, taxpayer groups, business and industry, senior citizens' organizations, students and the community at large. It is charged with ensuring that all bond funds are spent as promised on capital projects set forth in Measure D.
A strong effort has been made to ensure that the membership of the Citizens' Oversight Committee reflects the diversity of the communities and the region served by the District.
The initial appointments are staggered, such that some of the initial appointees have been appointed to serve one full two-year term. The other initial appointments serve a one-year term, but will be eligible for reappointment by the Board for a second and third two-year term.
