Citizens' Oversight Committee
On March 3, 2015, the San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees appointed seven members to the Measure D Citizens' Oversight Committee. The committee comprises representatives from education, taxpayer groups, business and industry, senior citizens' organizations, students and the community at large. It is charged with ensuring that all bond funds are spent as promised on capital projects set forth in Measure D.
A strong effort has been made to ensure that the membership of the Citizens' Oversight Committee reflects the diversity of the communities and the region served by the District.
The Oversight Committee meets quarterly and prepares an annual report to the Board of Education. Besides reviewing the project budgets and information at public meetings, they also visit the school sites to see the construction projects. Information about upcoming meetings can be found in Board Docs.
They will continue to meet until the final Measure D funds are spent.
